Welcome to Day Three of  JustRite Papercraft's September Release.  Today we are showcasing two new Birthday Stamp Sets designed by Amy Tedder. For my card today I am playing with Faber-Castell Art Grip Aquarelle Pencils.

I really enjoyed working today with Faber-Castell's watercolor pencils. I simply colored in my image with the pencils and then ran my watercolor brush ocer the image to give it a soft watercolor effect. Here is a look at today's release sets.

Today over on the JustRite Blog we are introducing two new sets in our Amazing Paper Grace Stamp Collection designed by Becca Feeken. 

 

For my project I stamped my the Filgree Leaves Background Cling Stamp image with Black India Ink and used my Pitt Brush Markers to color in the leaves and then I used my gelatos as watercolors to watercolor wash the background.

What I Like About You

Here is a close up of my card. To frame my sentiment from What I Like About You Clear I used the tag element from Becca's A2 Filigree Delight which I them rubbed with the Champagne and Brown Gelatos to give the outer design of the die a metal looking finish. For the next layer I die cut a frame element from Samantha Walker's Botanical Swirls and Accents using Awesome Effects Sheet Metal Copper Patina from DMD.  I love the Patina effect of this self-adhesive backed metal. Then I layered it on a die cut Lacey Tiers circle cut from my Gun Metal Blue Polished Stone Paper.

 

 To accent the card I used Wood Venner Butterflies from Studio Calico which I watercolor washed with Gelatos.

JustRite Papercraft Autumn Vintage Labels Three and Floral Harvest Background Stamp

For my project today I created an Autumn Birthday card using today's Release set Floral Harvest Background Cling Stamp. I can't even tell you how much fun I had coloring this stunning background designed by Amy Tedder with Faber-Castell Gelato's and Pitt Brush Markers.

I stamped theFloral Harvest Background Cling Stamp with Black India Ink onto Canson Watecolor Cold Press Paper - 140lb, 300g weight.  This is my favorite watercolor paper for stamping as it has a very smooth surface.  India Ink Black is a Super Quick Drying ink perfect for using watercolor techniques with ,as the ink will not run when you use watercolors on the image.

Next I scribbled my gelatos onto my waxed paper pallette and then using my Faber- Castell waterbrush I picked up a variety of colors and painted them nto the gorgeous Floral Harvest Pattern.  It was a blast.

 

To add some more controlled depth to the colored image,  I used my Pitt Artist Pens  (Brush Tip) to add shadows. Then I stamped the "Enjoy Your Day" sentiment from Let Your Soul Sing into the banner area.  To complete my Birthday Card I stamped the Happy Birthday Sentiment onto the Canson Watercolor Paper with VersaMagic - Hint of Pesto, die cut and embossed the image with Spellbinders Decorative Labels Eight. Next  I watercolor washed the decorative edges of the die cut image to make it pop a bit off the background.

 Can I just say that I am in love with Faber-Castell Gelatos. I have been playing with them all month and just love how rich, smooth and creamy they are.  To see additional cards that I have created using them - scroll down to my last two blog posts using them too.

 

 

For my project today I wanted to show you how to make a stunning card in just a matter of minutes. Today I am playing with Metallic Gelatos! 

 

First I stamped in versamark and embossed in white Justrite's March Release set Grand Damask Background Stamp.

 

Then I applied my Gelato Colors - Metallic Mint and Metallic Blueberries to my image. Just color with the gelatos and then rub in the color with finger.  This is super fast and fun.  Next I spritzed the paper with water and using a paper towel remove any excess color from my embossed area (this gives it an even softer feel).  Now you can add more color in certain areas to make your embossed image really pop.

Graceful Monogram

For my Cameo Image I stamped and embossed in white only the frame. Then I used the Silver Ice Metallic gelato to rub over the white embossed frame. Next I went back and added in hints of Metallic Mint to the outside area of the ornate frame. In the interior of the frame I added both Metallic Mint and Metallic Blueberry. Once I got the feel I wanted in the interior of the frame I stamped my cameo using with Memento Danube Blue. 

Next I die cut and embossed my cameo image with Spellbinders Stately Circles. Then I colored the outside rim with Metallic Blueberry and rubbed the color around with my fingers.  I die cut the Grand Damask Background Stamp image with die #4 from the 5 x 7 Matting Basics A set which fits perfectly inside the largest die in the 5 x 7 Detailed Scallop Die.

JustRite Background Stamp Blog Hop Day One- Harlequin Script

Are you ready for Spring yet?  I sure am!!  Yesterday I spent the day at the Portland Flower show,  dreaming of  Spring and the new flower gardens!We still have snow on the ground here in Maine but I am sure that it will be all melted by the end of the week- WAHOO!!  This week the JustRite Team has some spectacular projects showing off our new line of background stamps!! 

 

To create my card I stamped the Harlequin Script Background Stamp in three different colors and created a harlequin patchwork background .

 

 I used the FAB corner elements from the Musical Notes Labels Twenty Stamp set to frame the card by stamping that element in the lower light hand corner and upper left hand corner of my card.

Happy New Year!! JustRite CHA Release #1 Day One- With Sympathy

Welcome to Day One of the JustRite CHA Release #1 - we have 21 New Clear and Cling Stamp Sets plus 2 New JustRite Custom Dies to introduce for CHA. This week and next we will be sharing with you stamps from  CHA Release #1 with a few sneak peaks of background stamps and border stamps from CHA Release #2.

For my card today I am featuring a new background stamp called Harlequin Script Background stamp (which is a Sneak Peek from Release #2) and a frame and sentiment from our new With Sympathy Set.  I used a Fabulous botanical piece of paper from Graphic 45's  Botanicabella Collection 12 x12 Pad as my inspiration for the color theme of my card. 

With Sympathy is a large format clear set that is 6 x 8!!  You will absolutely love this large size clear stamp set. 

The frame from this set coordinates with our new Nested Oval Medallion Label Dies manufactured for JustRite exclusively by Spellbinders.

I used Spellbinders Labels Twenty One to mat my Nested Oval Medallion Die which allowed me to show off the beautiful Harlequin Botanical Paper from Graphics 45.

Here is a close up of my card so you can see how I used the background stamp in the center of my frame.  First I stamped and die cut my With Sympathy Frame image twice.  I cut out the center oval from the 2nd frame and used this frame to mask the die cut frame for my  card.  so that I could stamp my background stamp in the center of my stamped oval frame.  Love the effect it gave me for stamping my sentiment on.

Introducing JustRite Cling Background Stamps

Today I am very excited to share with you JustRite's newest cling products - background stamps. 

You will find yourself creating wonderful designer papers with these stamps - over an over again !! Now when you need a specific color of designer paper you can create your own!!

For my card today I wanted to really show off the Vintage Wallpaper Background Stamp, so I stamped the Vintage Wallpaper Background stamp twice - once in cantaloupe, once in tangelo.  Then I die cut both images at the same time with Classic Scallops Edgeabilities to ensure that the pattern repeat would match when I cut apart the tangelo image to create a stripe on the cantaloupe image. I was very careful when I cut apart the tangelo image to match the repeat so that it would appear to the eye as one piece of paper with stripes of color.  This creates a warm and summery background for my Botanical Butterflies image. 

Next I inked a small area of the background stamp with pear tart to create a background paper to stamp the "Just A Note" Sentiment from Musical Notes and then I die cut it with the tear drop tag die form JustRite Nested Sentiments and Dies.

I personal love the simple elegance of our next background release image - Scrolled Vine Background Stamps.  With this background stamp you can create a stunning Wedding, Christmas, Anniversary or Thank You card in a matter of minutes.  Wait till you see all the fabulous projects the design team created with this set!! 

 For my card I wanted to create a pastel and gold wedding card.  The image was stamped with Danube Blue on Neenah Classic Crest Natural White and them I colored the background with shades of pale yellow and the scroll work with shades of coral.

To give my background stamp a warm glow I distressed the edges and the area above and below the solid stripe with Rosebud Ink and a Jumbo Dauber.  Using plum ink and a sentiment from Wedding Nested Sentiments - currently on sale for just $5.00 while supplies last!! Next I added the ruffled ribbons -- one layer of pink, one layer of yellow and you will notice I alternated there orientations when I added them above and below the sentiment.  For some bling I added gold glittered rhinestones and a gold glittered flower from Prima. For the final touch I die cut the leaf element from gold foil.
