Introducing At the Beach Oval Medallions

It's another day at the Beach for me!!  (at least in my studio).  For my card today I used the shell elements from At the Beach to create my own designer paper then used a dauber to rub in some color so that my paper wouldn't be stark white. 

 To frame my sentiment I used the Medallion Oval Frame from Just Keep Calm and filled the bottom of the frame with stamped SeaShells.

At the Beach Oval Medallion Labels is designed to coordinate with JustRite Custom Oval Medallion Dies.

 I used my Copic Markers to alter the color of my shell so that it would coordinate better with the colors of my card.

I had so much fun playing with this set that I designed a second card using more paper from Webster's Yacht Club 6 x 6 paper pad.

Introducing Oceanside Medallion Labels

Today over on the JustRite Blog we are introducing one of my favorite beach sets Oceanside Medallion Labels!!  Why is this set one of my favorites?  Because my favorite food in the whole wide word is LOBSTER and I am lucky enough to live in Maine where lobster is sometimes cheaper per pound then steak!! 

So as a little ode to Lobster and the State of Maine - I am happy to introduce Oceanside Medallion Labels  and Ticking Stripe Background Stamp.

When I was working on this card -I despeartely wanted a piece of something that would look like fish netting to place my shells on.  I searched through all my supplies and coouldn't find anything until I looked at a leftover piece of wide vintage crocheted lace that I had cut apart to use on another card - the leftover crocheted piece was perfect for the efffect I was looking for. The lace was an aged ivory color but I wanted it to look like fish netting so I tired out for the first time Tsukeniko's Walnut Ink Antiquing Solutions -in the following colors Eucalyptus, Walnut Ink and Lilac and then spitz it with Sheer Shimmer Spritz.

 To create my mat layers I used our new Ticking Stripe Background Stamp.

The FAB lobster paper is from Webster's pages Yacht club.
