Here is another great card made from scraps of Murdock Country Creations Polished Stone Paper. To make the striped mat I simply glued to a piece of scrap paper 5 - 1" x 12" Polished Stone scraps to create a 5" x 12" paper which I then trimmed into a mat. The colors from left to right are Melon Twist, Sherbert, Raspberry, Butterscotch and Sunkissed. The Card base is Chocolate Fudge. The verse is stamped with seam foam white embossing powder on St. Nick Polished. I place the verse on a piece of chipboard and used a Krylon Gold leafing pen to edge the chipboard. Did you know that your Krylon Pen has a premade groove in it that makes it possible to evenly edge your paper? Did you also know that the tips are replaceable? I can't believe how many pens I tossed before I realized that you could replace the nibs. Simply use a pair of tweezers to remove the nib and insert the new nib. The replacement tips are sold in sets of 3. Need to color in a larger area, simply flip your nib over, the reverse side of the nib has a round edge which works great is you need to fill in a larger area. The acorn and leaf embellishments are buttons from Jesse James. The gorgeous leaf paper is from Frances Myers.
