This card was a stamping challenge from Cheryl. She created the stamped image on tan cardstock using Rubber Stamp Tapestry's peg set and then handed it to me exclaiming "now it's your turn". So I searched through my collection of stamps and found this beautiful collage stamp DF4521 Woman Collage/Passport from Hampton Arts. You can see the whole stamp in the background of my photo, and it just so happened that it fit perfectly into the wreath Cheryl had created with the peg stamps. I used my Copic Markers to color in the image. I colored and airbrushed in the face. I made the butterfly 3-D by stamping a second image. Then to add a slight shimmer of glitter I used my Spica glitter pens over the previously colored butterflies. Next I layered the image onto Murdock Country Creations Fruitcake Polished Stone Paper and then placed it on a 6x6 card made from Murdocks Peppermint Twist Polished Stone. I decided not to center the image, so I could add a ribbon embellishment. But after reviewing my stash of ribbon and flowers - nothing matched. So I decided to create my own ribbon by taking a piece of twill and using the peg stamps from the wreath design. The images were not clear but the effect was perfect picking up the feel of the polished stone paper. I used my Copic Markers to highlight the edges of each side of the twill. To make flowers that would coordinate with the card, I airbrushed my pink flowers with a green copic marker then colored the edges of the flowers with a yellow and green copic marker. Next I added the Spica Glitter Pen on top, bet you would not have guessed that my flowers were originally pink. To highlight the edges of the stamped image I scuffed the edges with a green verascolor pad.
